Tar on the trim for a couple years

I have member from volvoxc forum asking what he should use on his trim that has tar that been sitting on it for four years. He is unsure on using kerosene on the trim. He did wash it with medium abbrassive brush. Any thoughts?

Most likely the tar has stained the trim. Exactly what kind of trim are we talking about?

I Use to Have the Volvo Dealer account here.So I'm very Familiar with The "Cross Country" Trim...:wall:wall:wall

:hmmm:I kinda Agree with Troy, If its been sitting on there that long you of course stand a better chance of it staining

I would 1st try a APC Full-Strenght:bigups

This will take him 4-ever thoughassout:

So I would go with a Solvent.:bigups I would imagine 1 of the Sponsers sales such a Product:hmmm:

Mineral spirits would be my choice..letting it dwell on the area for a while to loosen it up...some trim restore after to start adding life back into the plastic, it will take more than one coat over time
