Take the white out of outlined tires.

Damned pollen!!!
Got some new tires coming, but they have outlined white letters. I am gonna put the letters on the inside, but want to color them first. Any ideas? Maybe a sharpie?

on extreme 4X4 a couple weeks ago they showed a market, paint thing desgined to paint tires,. They came in 5 or 6 colours. I dont rember what they are called sorry, however im sure your loca autosuply store would have them

I might hit NAPA. I dont really care what it looks like, I just want it darkened. It would take a LONG time for them to darken naturally. The tires don't come in just blackwall. THey have white on 1 side / black on the other.

It might not be a smart idea for you to swap the tires around. Some tires are directional and need to be facing a certain way. I'm really not sure on how to get rid of the white lettering though.

They're off road tires. No direction to them.

You might want to try Forever Black. It's a permanent black dye for trim so it should do a decent job on the raised white letters on a tire....... it might not last forever on the conditions a tire goes through, but it will most likely last as long as most anything else.

Yeah, I'd have to say a dye or a paint would be best. Even then I don't know how long it'd last but I think it'd last longer than a sharpie or a tire pen. Raised white letters aren't all that visible on the inside from what I've seen though.

Usually they are not, but the body design of the Jeep Cherokee will have them very exposed.
