While on my honeymoon I received several calls and emails regarding details. Since my wife is also my partner, she didn't mind me taking all the calls and emails I could handle.
One of them came from a member on this board looking for a new car prep. I told him that I was on honeymoon at the time, but it was okay because he wasn't expecting delivery for a few weeks.
Ater a few shipping and delivery delays, I finally got the chance to meet him, his new TSX with Tech package, and prep his vehicle.
My wife and I drove to his home (about 45minutes) from me ready for action. She decided to come along since she had the day off, she enjoys learning about the craft, and does excellent interior work. Plus, being recently married....we love being around each other!
Fortunately the weather called for partly sunny, although it was mostly cloudy. The day before I got rained on 3 times during a full corrective detail, but luckily no rain today. I've been doing a fair amount of mobile jobs lately and I am still getting used to the lack of UFO amounts of lighting and the comfort of cabinets, etc. I take for granted how nice it is to work in my salon.
Unfortunately, the day came with very flat light and made it difficult to spot all of the imperfections. Luckily, the major ones were identified (2- 6 to 9 inch scratches, smaller than pin-head rust on window trim crhome, and a paint drip in the clear) and a few minor ones (a light scratch by the B-Pillar passenger side and some hard water spots) have been addressed by the owner since the detail as better light prevailed. I will be returning shortly to address the drip and window trim. The owner got an "Ok" from the dealer to have me do it, and they will then pay me for the service. Very good CS on their part.

Here are the befores (remember the car has only the miles on it home from the dealer):
