Systematic order of detailing?

zesty-man

how do ya like it?
im just wondering, when you detail cars, is there a systematic order of detailing that you follow for every car that you detail?

Yes. I think that every detailer has basic rules to follow which make the task a little simpler and more efficient. For example, I am pretty much programmed to clean the interior before the exterior almost of the time. However, I learned to break my routine as time went on and my confidence in my routine grew. Maybe I just grew tired of my routine? :)
Don't forget, for those of us who work alone, another person to help out is an answer to our prayers. This would allow me to throw my routine out the window.

but it would cut into profits too if you know what i mean... anyways, ive heard a lot to work on the inside of the car first, then do the outside. is there a primary reason for that?

It's easier to finish the inside before you're all sweaty and dirty (like when I used to detail in Florida...in July).
