Swivel seat

COME AT ME BRO
Does anyone have any experience with this seat? What about opinions (I am sure there's lots of those out there)? I am looking for something to roll around on whilst I polish lower panels and such, but looking for something that's not going to break the bank.

How's this for a post that is of absolutely no help to the OP....

My rolling seat is more like this one

H6235 Adjustable Seat

Other than the fact that I have to regularly re-tighten the caster wheels. It has proven to be reliable, including the hydraulic seat function for better than 5 years now. I did add a seat cushion over the original which might be the reason the seat material has not yet split.

But for your intended use, polishing lower body panels, mine still sits a bit too high. So I pull out my old reliable Rubbermaid step stool.

For polishing lower panels I sit on a creeper it is only about 1 inch off the floor the stool will have you bent over all the time.

I have a rolling seat like what you show but use it for working on brakes and things like that but it would be ok for upper part of doors and fenders.

I thought the barstool looking one was too high, like you mentioned. I also have my reservations about the one I posted - namely, being that it looks like the supports could possibly be weak and that they might bend, leaving the seat sitting at a downward slope.

I also wonder, like Bart mentioned, if it would be too high on lower stanced vehicles.

I have one and they are OK. If you have a very smooth floor meaning no cracks or small rocks, etc it will roll around alright but anything in its way and your stopped. It also can get out of balance easily and you can push yourself right off of it. don't ask:D

I picked up old office chair with no handles on Criagslist for free. What I like about it is the adjustable height. Its a tad more tolerant of inconsistent surfaces the only draw back is that you don't have that storage tray on the bottom, but that's no big deal to me

I am with BB on this one. I purchased one similar to the one mentioned and used it for years. I found that I fell off of it at the most inopportune times. This past year with the addition of my work bench in the garage I have purchased this one H8363 Deluxe Shop Stool

I like the height adjustment for my wood workbench when I work on my boxes and it works well around the new truck but not the wheels. I don't mind bending over because I have lost my gut but my knees cannot take any strain. Both seats helped me but the new one is as close to a motorcycle as I can get. LOL!

I have one like Mr. Clean posted the link to. I got mine at Harbor Freight tools for about the same price. It does adjust down to a very similar height as the one that you have linked to.

I picked my seat up locally, though I don't remember if it was from Harbor Freight or Northern Tools. I just went out to the garage and measured the seat height ranges from @14"-18", if that is of any help.

I think I will try and see what some of the local places have to offer before I spring the big bucks for the chair I mentioned earlier.... :D

I have both seats styles mentioned and like the round adjustable one MUCH better. The two reasons I like it better is the adj seat height and the fact that the seat swivels.
