Switch to Zymol Concourse??

I think I need my carnauba fix. Zaino's great and all, but I'm ready to try other things.

ANyway, my friend(a distributor) is offering me a jar of Concourse for $45. Should I buy it??

I've heard excellent things about it, and would wax about every 2 wks. or so(weather permitting:D )

I could always go back to the Z if I wanted to.

Any thoughts??

I'd be interested in how it stacks up to Souveran(it retails for twice as much, yet my friend will give it to me cheaper than Souveran!!:nixweiss )

Thanks for any input to this idea!!

I'd be happy to post Z vs. Concourse pics afterwards!!

For $45 why not??? Give it a whirl and let us know how it compares. Souveran is some tough competition though..

I'd say put another $25.00 into it and go for the Souveran, It will probably out shine and out last the Zymol, just my opinion.

In a previous post David B. mentioned that Souveran was similar to Zymol Destiny and Blitz (forgot this wax?) was similar to Concourse.

It looks great but be aware that Concours should be applied follwing Zymols instructions:

1.- Put a very small amount of the glaze to the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands to melt the Carnauba. With your hand, gently apply the glaze in a light, even pattern over no more than three or four-square feet of painted surface.

2.- Let Concours stand for 30 to 60 seconds.

3.- Using moderate to heavy pressure, wipe very slowly with a Micro-Wipeâ„¢ (folded once) to a brilliant lustre before wax is totally dry.

4.- Wait three to four hours, then lightly buff the paint again to perfect the shine.

Your hands will be very tired at the end of the process, and your nails will not look so shinny ;)

IMO Zymol is not worth it, it's a PITA to apply and overpriced. You can get a tin of Blitz for $15 and it will look almost the same and last a lot longer.

Blitz is an awesome wax for the price.

Great shine, just a bit more rubbing to remove than Souveran and it's more durable? Shhhhh... One Grand may be listening.

I LOVE both Souveran and Blitz, but sometimes it's very hard to justify purchasing Souveran.

Both waxes leave no residue and won't stain trim, I've found.

:) Thanks for the opinions, everybody.

Maybe I'll pass on the offer and go get some Blitz:up

I've been curious about that wax too.

Has anyone tried the omega glaze under it? Or what else should I use?? I'm thinking:

-Dawn wash(I know it won't remove the Z, but it's still a nice pre-wax wash)

-P21S Gloss-Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser

-Klasse SG x 4

-Blitz (layered bi-weekly)

Wash: MG Gold Class

Does this sound right??

Omega under Blitz and Show Off over Blitz is amazing.

Just remember to let Blitz cure a day or two before

using Show Off QD.

Blitz looks best at day 3 and this high point lasts

two weeks and the shine still looks terrific after 8 weeks.

I was topping with P21s but found I prefer Blitz stand alone.

Most definately get some and try it. That is a great price and you will love the results. I always hear how hard to deal with Zymol is but it really is not. Just follow the directions and you will end up with a great shine. Take a chance and try it, you will be impressed.

If you are worried about the price of Souveran, consider getting P21S's GEPC and carnauba wax. It provides just as good a shine without the steep price tag.
