Swirls....Megs #82 & White Pad....Didn't Work

Evening Everyone,

I have a 2003 Bonneville and it has swirls all over the place. Last weekend I spent a day doing a full detailing:

Washed

Clayed

Washed

Megs #82 & CMA White Pad

Klasse AIO x 1

Klasse SG x 1

Car looked great when I was done. Today I noticed that the swirls are back...I first thought they were new.....but I'm starting to think I didn't removed the swirls.

I though #82 would remove swirls rather than hide them with fillers.....was I wrong. Should I have started with DACP instead? Did I use the wrong pad?

I'm gonna try again in 2 weeks....any tips for better results?

Many Thanks,

George

try DACP with white pad if that doesn't work then DACP with yellow pad.

Least aggressive approach first.

This is what I found too. It kinda sucks, but I found that it gets better after doing it a couple of times. It just takes a long time to get it going.

I thought the same about the AIO removing fillers....but I was under the impression that Megs #83 and #82 doesn't contain fillers and oils.

Maybe I'm wrong.....I could have sworn the bottle said "body shop safe" which I assumed meant no oils.

Thanks All,,

George

#82 SFP is an extremely fine polish which will bring out a nice gloss, but its not really strong.....what he said....try dacp...

White pad is basically not going to correct any flaws. I use a yellow for minor stuff and the red for deeper marring and swirls. You also have to work the DACP till it is DRY. It took me a while to get this concept. Keep doing a little spot see what it looks like before moving on. Good luck.
