Sweet Blue BMW Wash and Wheel Detail

Mr. Slick

New member
This BMW is a daily driver that sits outdoors under the car port. I was washing a Jeep right next to it and the owner of this car wanted me to wash it.

The BMW with average dirt and desert sand stuck to it after rainfall.

The tires and chrome wheels coated in brake dust. A car this nice deserves a full cleaning.

Meguiar`s Gold Class Shampoo.

Wheels before. They look good, but could be a whole lot better.

Wheels and tires were scrunbed with Meguiars Hot Rims wheel and tire cleaner, and to top it off I dress the tires with Meg`s grape jelly. That`s Endurance tire gel. If you look around the complex any car taken care of by me have glossy black tires, it`s almost like a Mr. Slick signature.

Now THAT is slick!! The owner was very pleased. He brought me a Subaru and a brand new Honda. Next time thr Honda and BMW are getting a clay and wax treatment.

A fan of Meg`s OTC products?

not to hijack the thread, but there`s really nothing wrong with being a fan of (some of) Megs OTC products. I`m not a fan of Hot Rims, but like the Gold Class shampoo and the Endurance Tire Gel. They`re inexpensive, locally available (to most), and yield good results.

Yeah I use a lot of Meguiars products. Not everything I use is Meguiars though. I don`t really like the hot rims line. What others don`t smell bad and have great results?

Unless a rim is really dirty, I use Chemical Guys Diablo, elbow grease and a good set of brushes. If it`s really dirty, I use Griots Garage heavy duty wheel cleaner, which actually does smell pretty bad, but is an awesome cleaner. For tires, I use Meguiars APC (D101) mixed at the 4:1 ratio. The D101 is part of their professional line, and is available by the gallon, and is very economical to use.

Next time I order from Autopia I`m getting some Detailer line and spray bottles. I already like Mirror Glaze. I use m105 m205 and the vinyl cleaner and conditioner a lot.

You did a good job on the wheels. I personally hate stock chrome rims on cars because they rust and tend to peel off which makes the wheel look ugly.

Got another client with a lot of cars, she has that jeep and a jaguar and the chrome is peeling really bad.
