Supply checklist?

I've been taking a few more jobs here and there, even some basic wash and waxes (I would never offer only a wash and wax without a prior detail). A lot of clients cannot drop or drive their car to my home so i have been going to their homes.

Because of this, I have found myself thinking long and hard on what products I might need and should take, only to get there and remember I totally forgot to grab a new bar of clay or whatnot. Today I got to a job with some really neglected wheels only to realize I did not bring any wheel or tire cleaners. None the less I ended up using regular wash soap and lots of diffeent brushes, followed by some polish and clay afterwards. This caused me to lose maybe 20 minutes all because I forgot some much needed wheel cleaner.

Do you guys have a list you like to go by?

Mine goes a little like this, please suggest or add as you please.

1. Wash solution (ONR or Conventional soap)

If I get a call from a customer and they want a full detail done. I will either have them send me many many detailed pictures via e-mail or I will take a trip to them and check it out personally so I know what to expect when I get there.

It helps to give estimates first because it saves the load of products I take on a trip.

On a typical Exterior Detail since I rarely offer Interior Details; here's what I take.

7 Way Nozzle Sprayer

Various dilutions of APC

Various size of brushes

Duragloss #902 <-- in a 4oz squeeze bottle. Saves Room

Sheepskin Mitts

2 5 gallon Buckets

5 gallons of RO water for the final dry rinse stage

Waffle Weave MF's

Makita 9227

A tub of various LC Flat Pads

Clay Magic Blue and Red Clay

Clay lube that comes with Clay Magic Boxes

SIP

106ff

a dozen or so of High quality MF's

a dozen or so of cheapie MF's

Depending on the customer, Either ONE wax or ONE sealant

3-4 foam applicators

Invisible Glass

303 protectant

GR-40

EX-P <-- Sealant that I use on Windows and Rims

Blue Painters Tape

Cotton Balls

Q-Tips

Nitrile Gloves

Trim Restore

Aqua Wax to remove any wax or any kind of smears/residue left behind

No Touch Tire Spray for the wheel wells

Mequiars Tire Gel for tires

Prep Wash

Halogen Lights

If I do the interior also. I will take

various brushes for the cracks & crevices

Shop-Vac

303 protectant

Woolite/water mixture

I'm sure there's more...But uh well...

Also all my liquids are put in 4oz squeeze bottles unless I know I will need more

My sprayable liquids are put in 4oz spray bottles; again unless I Know I will need more.

Carrying 10-15 small bottles is a lot better than carrying 10-15 12oz-32 bottles around.

Just wondering - do the pros do site visits before they start a job? Or ask for e-mails of the vehicle? Totally unrealted, but I am a SCUBA diver and i have a few gear checklists that I keep with my stuff. They are laminated and I use a grease pencile to check off stuff as it gets backed. You could attach something like that to where you supplies are stored?

Thanks
