Superlative Detailing : Triumph Spitfire Mk IV

What a good way to kick off 2010 with a detailing of such a vintage car. The curves and bodylines of this Mk IV flows so smoothly.

Though i have always thought the MK II were more sexy with the 2 front grills up front.

This car will be undergoing a 2 stage paint correction detail.

The combo that we have settled on was doing its job so we went ahead.

Corrected rear fender. Look at those bulges, modern cars just lack details and flairs like these.

Rear bumper. No more carbon etc etc. Lack of reflection due the massive amount of orange peel.

Thanks thanks.

I didnt have enough time for the shoot. Only like 1 hour or so.

Theres so many details for such a simple car.

I was glad i brought my dust collecting gradient filter out for the shoot. If not i would get "white" skies. Haha

Thanks for your kind words. :)

Fantastic work, I love seeing "survivors" being restored and protected for future years. The yellow really"popped" after the detail. As an aside, I like the small carbon fiber accents on the rear flanks and spoiler. Great photography skills as well.

the best pics i've seen in awhile with a quality process and documentation of everything the whole way. Outstanding and thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks guys.

LongDX: The "carbon fiber" accents are just vinyl wrap. I told the owner that the original chrome one looks better. haha.

I will see if i can get interior pics, its all done in real carbon fiber. Silver ones for the dash.
