Superior Detailing - 2000 Viper Paint Correction with Fuzion

<c>
superiordetailing_logo-1.jpg

I completed the correction on this 2000 Viper a few weeks ago and finally had the chance to travel back out to the customer’s home and apply a coat of Wolfgang Fuzion after washing and sealing an RV of his (no pictures.) Also I am learning how to get better pics from my SLR so I wanted to snap a few more while out there since the weather was nicer than the first day trip out there.

Process:

BODY:

-ONR wash on body panels/glass

-Meg’s Super Degreaser with wheel brush and dry vapor steamer for wheels/wells

-Clayed with Automagic’s Blue Mild Clay and Meg’s Last Touch Spray Detailer

-PFW/Meg’s 105 on rotary @ 1200-1600 rpm.

-LC White/Menzerna FP on rotary @ 1000-1400 rpm.

-Meg’s #20 Polymer Sealant via PC on LC blue pad @ speed 4.

S

ENGINE:

-Sprayed down with Meg’s APC+

-Agitated with various brushes.

-Dry vapor steamed to reach crevices/aid in cleaning.

-Dressed with Meg's Hyper Dressing 4:1

INTERIOR:

-Steamed with dry vapor steamer on all surfaces including carpets shell and mats.

Touch up/Day 2

-ONR wash with Chenille MF mitt, boars hair brush. Dryed with stocktowelsnow’s large super heavy towel.

-One coat Wolfgang Fuzion applied with supplied applicator.

-Interior coated with 1Z cockpit premium, vacuumed.

-Glass cleaned with Meg’s Glass Cleaner.

No pics of wash process other than engine bay cleaning:

I also spotted some polish residue on the underside of the hood, so that was agitated as well as steam cleaned after to clean it up a bit.

After using the steamer for the exterior, I moved on to the inside. I assure you I didn’t start a fire in the cockpit of this car, just the condensed steam vapor after cleaning the inside and door jams:

Started with a test panel after washing and claying. This is what I would be up against:

After White/IP:

I then masked and metered the paint but quickly realized that that was a waste of time since there’s no metal under this paint! I then proceeded to finish up the rest of the car with the chosen compound/polish combo.

After Menzerna FP/White, starting to pick up some gloss:

After all this and about 3 weeks battling a very busy schedule between work and school, I came out and finished everything up this past Friday which ended up being a great day to take pictures. This is about 2 hours after an initial application of Wolfgang Fuzion. I have only applied this to two red cars so far but the results are amazing and both owners thought the cars were “absolutely incredible” as one put it.

I hope these pics show that I can finally get some nice shots from my camera:

Very nice job and nice gloss! On a secondary note...Holy roof peaks on that house! I'd hate to see what it would cost to replace the shingles on that roof...lol

Looks fantastic :). Quick question, after the ONR wash, did you have an intermediate step between:

a) claying or

b) waxing

Thanks

Process was ONR, clay, Meguiar's 105 via Purple Foamed Wool on the Rotary, Menzerna FP via LC CCS white pad on Rotary, Meguiars #20 polymer sealant.
