Superior Automotive Design: 2012 Shelby GT500 (South Florida)
Thanks to our recent partnership with Sully’s Detailing LLC, Superior Automotive Design has done it again. This vehicle received a full interior and exterior detail and well as an Amsoil oil change. When we got this vehicle it was trashed, the factory stripes were ruined due to a previous detailer trying to wax them. The car was filthy but we were able to bring it back to life.

Did you use Trim Restore on the stripes?

Thanks guys, I used cleaner wax and a white pad on the stripes when over the stripes twice and it came out great. I tested it on out STi that is one of our shop cars that has a flat black roof, we bought the car with the roof and it was faded pretty bad and came out great so i did it on the strips as well. I wouldn't do it on a full vehicle wrap because it causes buffing lines in the wrap if not done correctly and you will get light and dark spot, so only use on small pieces like strips ect.

Hi Shawn,

When I initially read Shelby GT 500 my mind was whisked back in time to when the 1967 Shelby GT 500 were the hottest car coming out of the Ford factories!!

Not that I didn't enjoy the stroll down memory lane but the new Mustangs are absolutely gorgeous and I'm glad you were able to detail one and post it here.

I noticed that you used only the White and Black foam pads. Many here really stock up on all the flavors of pads but the White and Black are the ones I use the most often.

I think Meguiar's D151 is one of the nicest 1-step product. It cleans and removes minor swirls and other surface defects in one felt swoop. A phenomenal product!

Great save especially restoring those stripes!!

I agree Bobby. I tend to use only orange, white & black. I have 1 yellow and 1 blue but never used them.
