Superbowl Predictions!

Lovie or Tony...hmmmmmm....that is a hard one. Does offense negate defense? Will running ball control set the tempo? Offense will out in this historic match up.

My prediction is COLTS 38 Bears 24. Peyton will come to the fore and make a statement to all the nay sayers as to his status in NFL history.

Aside from the first superbowl this is the most historic to date. A fitting chapter for all of the quality people that are involved on both teams.

I think the Colts will win. However predicting a score could prove a bit difficult considering the factors:

a) Neither quaterback is playing very well. Grossman is young and inexperienced and has shown he will turn the ball over (20 ints / 8 fmbls on the season). On the other side, Manning took care of the ball during the season (9 ints / 2 fmbls), but has inexplicably been incredibly mediocre during the playoffs (3 ints vs KC, 2 ints vs Baltimore, and 1 int vs NE).

b) Both defenses have been suspect.

So the question is can either quarterback lead his respective team to the opposing teams' end zone and can either defense stop the opposing offense? It seems to me that these factors could lead to either a very low scoring game or one of those scoreboard lighting events.

Well said, I think the defenses are gonna shine more than the offenses though. As much as I like Manning, I picked Bears defense on my fantasy team for a reason :bow .

I actually like both teams, but I just have a stronger desire to see Dungy and Manning win this one because they deserve it. Manning reminds me of Marino and he is my all time favorite player. I think it stinks that he never got a ring.

While Manning was mediocre up until the second half of the NE game, he was stunning for the last two quarters. He led the Colts to score 32 points to negate a 15 point defecit and one the game. I think they'll be carrying that momentum into the game.

The main factors I see for the Bears are their special teams and line/LB's. They've got a good running game, but their passing game isn't too good at all. If Grossman can't get it started early, they may be in trouble. Their special teams will give the Colts trouble.

For the Colts, I see a great passing game, an at times good running game, and a pretty solid defense. Their biggest weakness are their special teams. The Colts just have to reduce the big plays on special teams when possible. Manning has way too many weapons through the air and I think the Bears will be playing a little cautious against that. If they are cautious, the Colts running game should be able to do some damage.

Overall, I see this being a very close game with the Colts just edging out the Bears 24-21. I see these two teams matching up pretty well with only a few advantages for either team. I will cheer for my Colts to win, but I can honestly say that I won't be too upset if the Bears win. My hometown is pretty much right in the middle of the two and I'm really excited for those two teams play each other for the ultimate prize.

The Colts Played hard and smart,Manning is one heck of a QuarterBack..

Congratulations ,To all you Colts fans..
