Car: Pontiac Pursuit, purchased 1 year ago. It's been waxed 3 times with a Car Groom professional wax containing pure carnauba. Paint is in new condition. I'm looking to protect it better for the winter though.
This is what I'm planning:
wash
clay
wash again
glaze (Extreme shine EZ)
sealant (2 coats of M-seal)
carnauba wax (collinite 845)
I've read nice thing about Chemical Guys so was thinking of getting their Extreme shine EZ glaze, clay, and M-seal since it's supposed to be really good for harsh winters.
Spoke to Collinite, they said the 845 is ok to use if applying over a sealer. They said the 476 should be applied directly onto the paint after prepping.
My car wash has wax in it. It's a professional wash from Trans Mate (Wash/Wax). I bought a large container of the stuff from a friend that sold detailing stuff. It's purple and smells nice, anyone ever try it? Is it ok to use a soap with a wax for this process?
Which CG vinyl cleaner is best if I want something to use on my dash, doors, exterior plastic, leather, and door seals (prevent them from cracking). I don't want something that will shine too much. I was thinking about the Natural Shine but someone at CG recommended the Silk Shine or Extreme VRP.
I don't really need anything for tires since I got a Trans Mate Hi-Shine dressing and that stuff is just amazing. It's oil based though and it's not voc compliant but it just lasts and lasts.
Any suggestions/comments?
