Suggestions for dark color

I been reading this forum for quite a while now. Lots of great info!!!

I resently bought a new Monaco Blue BMW 335i. The color is very dark, like midnight blue. I have it looking pretty darn good, but I always want better. I resently detailed it as follows: clay, P21S polish, Klass AIO/SG, and topped it with P21S carnuba. Like I said, it looks good, but I think with the right product, I could make it more shiny. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I also had the front covered with Venture Shield plastic, so that limits what I can do with that. The installer told me just to use a good carnuba on the plastic. Anyone here have experience with that? I'm open for suggestions for that as well ;-)

Thanks!

after your polish and class, i would use Natty's blue paste wax, and then top that with your nuba - natty's blue is made for darker colors - im about to use some on my redfire metallic!

I did use GEPC. I've tried a lot of products over the years and keep coming back to P21S GEPC and carnuba. But this if the first dark colored car I've had in a while, so I'm not sure what's best. I'll give Natty's a try. I've also heard good things about Sovereign. I know it's expensive, and I don't have money to blow, but if it's good, I'll give it a try. Would another polish be better than the GEPC?

with the polish are you looking for light corrective abilities or just cleaning?

i really want some sovereign, too man - but like you i dont have 80 bucks to blow on wax...someone i know did a side-by-side of NB with the sovereign and said they look very similar

I was using the polish for cleaning, light swirl coverup, and shine. With what I have done, I have a deep shine. I think what I'm after is a more reflective shine, if you know what I mean. Maybe a glaze added to the mix would help? You know, I'm talking like the car doesn't look good, and that's not the case. I'm just trying to figure out if I can make it even better. I enjoy doing this stuff as most of you guys do too, I'm sure.

Thanks for the tips!

yeah man i get what you're saying

that Light polish can actually be used to just use the paint, or remove light scratches/swirls, it just depends on how much you break it down - work until it becomes translucent to remove minor imperfections or until hazed if you want to clean the paint

OD wet glaze is perfect for bringing out a really reflective shine, as well as add dept

after you apply everything, if you want an awesome reflection, try some Meg's ultimate quick detailer, that stuff really adds a crazy shine

is this stuff being done be hand or machine?

I use use a PC for the liquids and apply everything else by hand.

BTW - What is OD wet glaze? Where do you get it? I tried searching and got nowhere...
