Okay i dont mean my cloths, but everything i applied onto my car these past YEARS:eek:

My STS prob has at least 100 layers of wax/polish/glaze/sealer/ you name it its all there lol

i want to start from scratch now..don't flame, its my choice...just tell me one thing

Will dawn remove evrything? or should i dawn..clay..dawn..?

i will then use meguiars wax cleaner followed by sealer/glaze..or should i polish then glaze? than top it off with some Z-best or what ever i decide to pik up at the store...

what do you guys rec i do?

ahhahah okay i was exaggerating when i said 100..but you get my point..i just feel like i should take off all the crao i have now and i believe i can do better...im only 16 and i really am not expert..i just like clean looking cars if yeah know what i mean...I do detail cars on the side...mostly family and friends...but once i get better i will start to approach people and dealerships :D

another thin is i dont think anything will stick onto the surface ..if i start off fresh i can put my new techniques to the test...just answer the question buddy:nono

Well, I don't really fall into that dawn wash thing very much. It can over time be bad for your plastic and rubber because it is such a strong soap. Besides, your wax will really begin to break down before it builds up if we are talking long time periods.

Anyways, I would

1)wash first with a good car soap

2) Clay using soap or detail spray as lubricant

3) Use some sort of polish-depending on severity of flaw in paint will determine what you will use (anything from Meguiars DACP to Meguiars swirl remover)

4) After polishing use a glaze

5) Top with a carnuaba wax such as meguiar's #26 or S100 which can be bought at Harley Davidson shops

Just a few things to get you started
