streaks on my hood

This may seem like a dumb question, but i haven't really studied detailing much, but anyhoo, I have a yellow car, and after rain or snow and it drys, i get black streaks up the hood, if i run it through the car wash for it weekly cleaning, it dulls them, but won't get rid of them. I can wash them off, but it drives me nuts, does anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

The first and best idea would be to stop running the car through the car wash, it's probably what helped to develop the "lines" you are complaining about. Try a little Meguiars #2 by hand, then polish and wax.

What is the make, model and year of your car? and do you have any type of bug deflector attached to the front of your car?

its a 2003 Dodge SRT-4, i don't have a bug deflector, i don't know if they even make one for this car.
