strange problem with Poorboys product

Hi recently purchase 3 of the spray bottles of Poorboys Spray and Rinse Wheel cleaner. The product itself is fantastic.

But it seems the actually sprayer keep blocking up. I have used 3 of their sprayer to actually get through the first bottle. At first I thought maybe it was their sprayers at fault, so I changed it to a sprayer from a Meguiars Wheel Cleaner I had, it did the same thing.

I don't want to stop using the product because its such a good product. But if I can't get through a bottle using one sprayer something has to be wrong.

Has anyone else had this problem??

I think that that product contains acid which is probably too harsh for the sprayer. Try to remove the sprayer and clean it with water after use(spray a lot until only water comes out), then place it back in the bottle. Even doing this, the life of the sprayer will be shortly. Even "chemical resistant" sprayers cannot stand up acid. Not very well anyway.....

Yes, I have had lots of problems with sprayers on wheel cleaners. On my real strong wheel cleaner (TOL PWW), I am currently using the sprayer that comes on Eagle One A2Z bottles. It is working pretty well for me. Maybe its worth a shot.

I experinced the same problem, one days use from a sprayer head with PB's SNR .. overnight I guess the acid eats away the internals of the spray head. I'll give an A2Z spray head a try, see if that works.

you are absolutely correct the sprayers are "chemical resistant" not "chemical proof" ...as you would not leave your pads dirty after use, you should not leave a chemical sprayer dirty after use...it's actually the seals that go bad and a thorough rinising as described above they will last you a very long time...this also includes any products that have petroleum bases, like some long lasting tire dressings and spray waxes.

I've used AG Clean Wheels for years and I've never had a sprayer pack up once. What's more, it's never even shown signs of wanting to. Maybe purchase on of these, then when it's empty refill it with the S+R? AG CW is a great product, but it is fairly acidic (great for really dirty wheels).

Yep, I've used AG Clean Wheels and also Megs Hot Rims in the past, both acid based, and the sprayers have never blocked up.

You know you have a point Pugoman .. I have some EO Mag cleaner somewhere at the back of one of my shelves, which is a very strong acid cleaner (around PH1). I haven't used it in a while, but I do not remember having any problems with the spray head? I'll try that with SNR, see if it works.
