Strange fungus on plastic molding?

I currently do not have pictures of this but I am going to post it soon, the plastic molding around the rear window and the 2 rear side windows on my car seems to have either been eroded by some type of fungus or there is actually still a fungus on it that will not come off with almost everything I have thrown at it. Can anyone recommend a product to try on plastic window molding to clean it up?

How old is the car? I've seen some Fords where the plastic trim is UV degraded and it falls apart and looks like something has eaten it.

Probably Artilery Fungus (shotgun fungus by another name) and basically not much you can do about it when it gets in the rubber. Basically have to replace it all.

It's a 2006 but I have owned it since September of 2005, the car has been parked in close proximity to oak trees.

Does it look like little circles all over? It seems most cars that stay outside have this problem.
