Stoner Products?

Honestly, I love BeadMax it simply amazes me... It looks and works great on my wifes van.. The van will bead for months and months...

Funny thing is that BM does not seem to work as good on my car which has many layers of s100 underneath..

I am glad someone responed to this. I have used both products. I had a detail job about 3 months ago on a 05' Scion coupe. I started off with a good wash. Then a good clay job. Moved on to the polish(Color X). I then applied the Bead Max with my PC. You know to this day its still beads up the same as it did 3 months ago. Weekly washes may contribute to this as'well, but nonetheless it's proven protection up to this point. It's not a jar of $32 P21S, but it gets my vote for daily driver detail jobs.

Mabe I'm just a rookie to this detailing buisness, but is there a difference between a detail with products that cost a fotune, and a detail that is done by products that arent super pricey. To the average person, and some trained eyes, can you really tell the difference visually?

To the average person, no. That's why most professional detailers don't use small portions of boutique products.

To enthusaists, perhaps. Over a good prep job, it's tough to discern straight differences between most last step products, but there's also a few with distinct qualities where you can. Souveran (especially over a glaze) is one of those products for me, I can tell the difference in looks on my own car over the other stuff I use.

Tailwind, this "small portion" of boutique products. What would entail a "small portion"?(name some)

I take it your useing your products on a 2 stage clear coat finish, correct? If so, have you done a single stage black laquer finsh in your time and compared the two side by side? I know they dont produce laquer paint any longer, however I do have friends who have kept there classics covered up in a garage for decades, and it strikes me to here alot of individuals on the site claim "pefection" in a production black clear coat finish..... Again I'm no "professional", but people there is no comparison between a properly done laquer single stage finish, and a two stage mass production black polyurethan finish. I'm sorry, but there isnt......

You will not, and can not get the depth of a old school laquer out of todays urethan paint.

Basic 16oz bottle that majority of stuff comes in by default. I'm not a professional detailer, it's a small side job and a hobby, so that kind of size is fine for me, but for someone polishing cars all day every day, they're going to want larger bottles for ease and cost.

I've never compared a single-stage black paint job to a clearcoat, sorry.
