it was a nice day out yesturday so i decided to clean up the car. so i first washed it and then claybar it. then washed it again. then i used the Menzerna intense polish with the porter cable and the yellow pad. buffed out the residue and then used Menzerna final polish 2 with another pad, then i applied meguires wax with the red pad. it seems like there is still swirl marks left. i dont understand what i did wrong, did u use too much product or did it too fast. the color of my car is red so u can see the swirls in the daylight. im not saying it didnt help, it took most of the marks out but there is some left. what should i do now. should i wait a little and do it over again?

try the final polish by hand in an area and see if it improves-with a PC you might have to work the area longer than you did-some marks may not come out

I would wash it just to remove any dust/dirt and then polish again. Try working a small area (~2' x 2'), start out the PC at about speed 3 to spread the polish and then bump it up to 5 or 6 and move the PC very slow. Make sure you work it long enough to properly break down the polish. It's not uncommon to have to repeat this process 3 or 4 times to remove swirls. Also check it with a good light or in the sun to make sure you don't wax over swirls again.

I don't use Menzerna, but here are a couple of threads that may help you out:
