Still Have Fine Scatches?

I did a 98' Green Toyota Tacoma today. I started off with a good wash. I then clayed the truck. Followed by a polish(#83) with my PC at #5 speed. I then applied my wax(#21) with my PC on #3. Final buff with a finishing pad on #5 with my PC.



The issue I'm having is there are still fine scatches in the paint, although hard to see it's still bothering me. Should I follow up with somthing after the #21 is applied?

What pad did you use with #83? You may need to use some #80 with a polishing pad to clear things up. Some soft paints need a finishing pad with a fine polish to make thing clear.

Yeah, many times (most of the time IMO) #83 by PC won't quite leave a ready-to-wax finish. The #83/#80 combo is sorta a standard approach, it works for almost everybody.

You could spend more time with the 83. Sounds like it wasn't quite ready to move to the LSP. Maybe a more aggressive pad would help also.

IYHO what would be a more advanced combo that would bring a better result?
