Sup guys?. I have a 01' PT Cruiser with moderate spiderwebbing. I also just bought a PC, with Megs polishing, cutting, bonnet. and buffer pads. I really need to know what steps to take with my products, and if i'm wrong, please correct me and tell me the right steps..this is what I was planning on doing..

- wash and clay car

- apply #83 with buffing pad, hand buff out (can I use a pad to buff off?)

- apply #80 with polishing pad, hand buff out (can I use a pad to buff off?)

- AIO 1x with polishing pad, buff out with buffing pad

- SG 3x with polishing pad, buff out with buffing pad

- S100 by hand, removed by hand.

Is that good?.. would you guys would do anything different, please tell me. I'm sure I have to switch something around, just don't know what.

Thanks! :)

Balty, I use the same products. This is the process I use. I'm not one of the experts though.

apply #83 with polishing pad, remove with MF (MicroFiber Towel)

apply #80 with finishing pad or polishing pad, remove with MF

AIO with polishing pad or finishing pad, remove with MF

SG-I apply by hand and remove by hand with MF (VERY THIN)

S100-apply by hand and remove by hand

I apply the SG with a foam applicator. You have to apply very thin or it is hard to remove. You have quality products in the right order it ought to look great when your finished (post pictures).

Good luck, Wes

thanks for the reply. 2 questions for you..

Why don't you remove any product with the PC?

and, why don't you apply the SG with the PC?.

The reason I don't remove products with the PC is because I would have to change pads all the time. After you work in the #83 then you would have to put on a Terry cloth or MF bonnet to remove #83. I work the #83 into about a 2'X2" section and then wipe off with MF and I'm ready to go to the next panel. This is just using #83 as an example. There is no reason not to apply Sg with the PC, I just can do a better job of keeping it thin by hand and I work faster with SG by hand. Thats just me, try it by PC and if it works for you and you can apply it thin go for it. It probably looks better by PC then by hand anyway because a PC is like a thousand hands working at once. Wes

Some people have a hard time applying SG with a PC. If you apply it thinly enough you will barely see it. For example, when I did my sister in law's PT cruiser I used half of an ounce of SG for the whole car, windows and all trim.

I have never used #83 or #80 so take what I say for what it is worth:)

I thought that #83 was pretty aggressive. Why not start with #80 on a polishing pad and see if that is removing the cobwebbing and swirls? Always start with the least agressive products and procedures.

That's a good point Sullybob, there is no reason to use #83 if #80 takes care of the problem. #80 is very mild but alot of times it does the job. Wes

yea that is a pretty good point. I will try just using #80.. I just want to know though, if just #80 works.. do I need to prep for AIO, or if I can apply AIO right after #80.

You can apply AIO right after #80. #80 is used to clean up more aggressive polishes. You can always go from #80 to a sealant or wax. Wes
