Steer me on the right course.

I have read posts till my eyeballs hurt. I think I have all the info I need but need to be sure before starting.

1. Wash with dawn.

2. Fix paint chips and level with Langka blob remover.

3. Clay with soapy water solution

4. P21S paint cleansing lotion

5. Zaino

6. Top with Pinnacle Cycle Glaz after multiple coats of Zaino

Questions:

Do I need to wash again between the clay and P21S?

Do I need to wash (Dawn) between the P21S and the Zaino?

How long should I wait between fixing paint chips and claying?

Any input on the Pinnacle Cycle Glaz? It was a freebie with my order. The label says 100% Carnuba wax, so I guess it will be comparable with S100. I hope.

The car is a 03 Ti silver M3.

Thanks for your knowledge and help.

Washing again is good, but use a proper car wash solution, not Dawn.

Wash with car was solution again.

No waiting needed.

Leave it 24hrs. between layers, use thin layers, make sure it's clean(use QD) before applying subsequent layers.

- I do just for peace of mind.

- No

- Chips should dry for quite some time, I would say as long as a new paint job. Your better off detailing the entire car then fixing the chips. The car will look clean and you'll have time to let the paint dry before another detail is needed.

Not really sure you need to Dawn-wash at all. I use Dawn when I need to strip off wax, polish residues, or other things that might require a very aggressive alkaline cleaner. But be aware that Dawn's harsh enough that it's not really good for your vinyl/rubber/plastic trim. So unless you have something on the car that requires that harshness, just use a good car-wash soap.

I started using Zaino so I wouldn't have to wax every month. Now I'm taking time off work to top with carnauba every week, detailing my wheel wells- where does it stop??

It doesn't...it's an addiction (albeit a good one!)
