steamer on leather

Had to do a detail on sunday on a Subaru. Man the leather was trashed. Most of the time I just use leather cleaner but this one was BAD so I broke out the steamer and some diluted APC. here are some pics....

Did you put a MF over the brush while steaming?

It actually needed direct bush contact. The brush I used wasn't harsh and I didn't apply a lot of pressure. Then I went over it again w/ microfiber to remove what I had loosened

Steamers are great for leather. I had no idea that you could steam on leather until one day I saw of friend of mine use it on a car that he was working on. He sprayed some OPC on them and told me to run the triangle brush over it. Man, when I did that, all that gunk that was trapped in the leather, rose to the top. Nasty stuff!!

The seat looks great. I can only imagine what the finished product must have looked like.
