I had questions on equiptment I noticed some detailers using steamers for interior cleaning and wanted to know what parts of the interior do you use it on and what are your step and chemicals used in the process. What kind of steamers are you using is this something you can purchase in the store or do you have to find it online. I also already have a power washer and wanted to purchase a foam gun. do you guys that are using foam guns disconnect the hose at the power washer and have another hose for the foam gun? the reason I ask because the hose I have now has the wand connected.

You can use the steamer on the entire inside. The seats, dash, carpets door panels, literally the entire inside. In many cases you won't need any chemicals for cleaning purposes. Only on the really tough stains you may need to spot treat. I use a vapor clean TR5. You will most likely have to buy on the internet. There is also a model that vacuums, it is more expensive, but is well worth it. I am thinking of selling mine and upgrading to one of those. The website is:

Steam cleaner, steam cleaners, steam cleaning, steam vapor cleaners

thanks driving impress so if you use the steamer on the seats and carpet does the dirt lift up to the surface with the steam? what would be your next step then to vacuum the dirt away? Does anybody else have any imput also still need help with my foam gun question

Noting that I'm not a professional....

The steamer lifts it to some extent, but can also blast it down/around to places where you don't want it, different from an extractor that pulls up/out of the material. So, I still extract. Using the steamer and extractor together works better for me than just using either/or.

FWIW, I use a Ninja/Century 4000 hot water extractor and this steamer: Commercial Steam Cleaner | Factory Direct Prices

I use a foamgun that hooks onto the regular hose, not a PW. With mine, I use one hose for the foamgun and another hose for the rinse/regular nozzle. But if using a foamgun that attaches to a PW, I'd just remove the foamgun and hook up the regular wand/lance (i.e., switch back and forth between the two- regular for pre-rinse, then foam, then regular again).

If using the steamer, you will have to remove the dirt by either a microfiber towel (what many do) or use an extractor or wet vac. I think it would really be worth the extra money to go with the Gaia which extracts also. With the Gaia you can also just use the staemer for doing hard surfaces.
