Steam Cleaner Machines

Beemerboy

Just One More Coat
This is a machine that I've wanted to add-on to my detailing equipment for some time now.

What I do not want is a cheap hand held level unit.

Example: For a carpet cleaner I wouldn't want the little green machine, but rather a Mytee or that level unit.

That said anyone have a steam cleaner they are happy with and can you please provide a link or company name.

Thanks

Mytee Firebird > VX5000 > Duspray, Etc on and on.

VX5000 would be a great reliable reputable unit.

Thermax machines are a bit more money, but fantastic A CP5 is really great if you have a shop and the CP3 a bit smaller if you're mobile

Have had a VX5000 for years and it works great. Plenty of hot steam and through a white towel, it will totally remove all kinds of nastiness from everything including seatbelts..
Used first to inject steam into freshly shampoo'd carpets, and then Extracted, man, everything comes out and the carpets are cleaned so much quicker because there is way less water to deal with..
Hard to beat the Steam/Extract process for me..
Good luck with your research.

Are you saying the Mytee Firebird is a better unit than the Dupray line of steamers? Have you ever seen the Dupray Hill Injection?

Last time I checked, the Firebird looked like a rebranded Vapamore, which is absolutely junk. I had a Vapamore, believe me, it's terrible.

I have a Polti Eco Pro 3000, it was manufactured in 1997, I purchased it used and it's still going strong.

Quality steam cleaners are made in Italy, not in China.

I dont think thats what he was saying. Your comparing the Firebird to a machine that literally costs 10x more...of course its not going to be the machine a Dupray is.

i have a dupray carmen inox that i love but am going to sell due to my slowing down with age and arthritis. wife wants to kill me for this . most expensive tool i ever bought.

I miswrote, that is the direction in price, quality, and demand. I have a VX5000 personally and each unit has its positives/negatives. You always get what you pay for.

another vote for the vx5000. Although I see they charge quite a bit for it these days

as stated above, for real nasty carpets an extractor still reigns supreme. but for all other situations its great.

I've not used the other machines mentioned so I can't really compare.

As far as extractor / steamer combo I've heard both good and bad things about the "Gaia". For the price I didn't want to be disappointed so I stayed away from an extractor combo
