Staged Detail

I never have time to do a full detail in one hit, so I was wondering what the best way to do it in stages would be? I can't really ever get my car under cover so after a wash it is always going to accumulate some dust (even if I don't drive it) just sitting there. I thought this process might work after a full wash;

1) QEW (Quick Easy Wash) a panel

2) Clay (Sonus SFX)

3) Sonus SFX2 (if swirls)

4) Klasse AIO

5) Klasse SG

For extra layers of Klasse SG with time between, just QEW then SG.

That way I can do a panel at a time over the space of about a week??

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a good plan...

I too, rarely do my cars in one go now, don't have the time... I DO SECTIONS.

I will do the interior one day. Then another time I'll do the roof. Another time, the doors & so on. Over a period of weeks the whole car's done & I'm happy with it.

So go ahead with it, there are no set rules in detailing a car.

:woot2:

I also do plenty of staged detailing over the course of weeks for lack of time. I just make sure and do what I think is the important thing......I wash the car before every step, even if it's only one day apart. That way I minimize swirl creating situations between coats of SG or SG and wax or whatever it may be.

The plan was to start off with a proper wash to get it really clean but then just use QEW as a fast alternative to clean up a panel before I work on it.
