I find that SSR2.5 is similar in cutting ability to DACP, but SSR2.5 breaks down more easily and is less prone to inducing micromarring. I don't think it is really a substitute for SSR2. There are situations where SSR2 would be the better choice. If you are looking to hold down product costs, then I would say that the SSR2.5/SSR1 combo would be more useful than let's say a SSR2.5/SSR2 or SSR2/SSR1 combo. Ideally, you'd want to have SSR2.5/SSR2/SSR1 on hand for best results.
