Ssr 2.5

I have read that people apply an LSP after SSR 2.5. I could not, the scratches from 2.5 were still visible.

I used SSR 2.5 with a blue Edge 2000 and a Makita rotary, I most definately was not ready for an lsp. Following with SSR 1 and a blue edge 2000 at 1200rpm turned the finish crystal clear.
Is there something I am missing?

I'll venture to say - light colored cars and silver>

My black car showed all of the fine, uniform SSR 2.5 scratches. Which is fine, I always plan to polish in stages. Here are shots of 2.5 followed by 1. since Saab is now a GM car, could you estimate the paint manufacturer or type? (Ceramiclear?)

NIce reflection. I would say that you would have to use a polish after using ssr2.5. I have never used it but, thats just my 0.02.

My light colored (silver) beater Dodge truck did not require any additional polish. I was pleasantly surprised.

What machine and pads did you use?

I would say all your responses are true. It really depends on a lot of variables. the paint , the pad, the machine, the user ...any one or combination can give you either results. With darker colors I would almost always go another step just to bring out more depth and gloss that a finer polish will do. Again we are the 1% among the many who wouldn't know a swirl if it bit them
