ssr 2.5 and water spots?

If there is serious etching you'll need either some SSR3 or a rotary, it all depends on how bad the water spots are. If they are pretty new the SSR2.5 should work just fine.
You can also try some vinegar on the spots to remove them first, then tackle the etching (if any) once the mineral deposits have been removed. DIlute the white distilled vinegar 1:1 and rub the surfaces with a PVA sponge or MF applicator.

PVA's are applicators that poorboy's used to distribute along with their products. I believe that they stopped carrying them but you'd have to ask Steve, wait a minute or two and you'll have a firm answer on that.

When my dad bought is 98 vette there were some water spots, but I don't know how old they were. They came off just fine with SSR2.5.

I think MS22 hit it on the nose..it really depends on how bad they are.
Speculating on-line is really hard to do...you would have to see and feel them in person to get a better idea how to approach the problems.

PVA's will be coming back, but not just yet. We are trying to work out a good deal and also make some custom ones;)

hmmmm, a thin circle PVA perhaps? :naughty :jump

SSR2.5 will certainly remove "some" water spots. Using a more abrasive product may remove "more" of them. However, you need to be careful... some water spots may be etched through the clear into the base coat. Trying to completely remove them will cause some major issues.
