280Z next!

I did this 280z for a client I have done in the past. He had me clean up a 15 year old Audi for him (see other C&B post, as it deserved its own). This car was a cherry in comparo. I think it's a late 70's car with a custom paint job and body kit. It's pushing 600-610 whp he said. I'm not sure exactly what he has done, but he owns the performance shop I did it at and they do some SERIOUS stuff. Everything is top notch.

The paint was in pretty nice shape but had some sanding trails here and there from the repaint. The roof had stuffed dragged all over it and I was told not to worry too much about fixing it as it would be painted soon. Anyways, exterior + engine only...

-S+W to clean
-AIO to polish
-Adam's VRT to dress

-PB Clay and S+W lube (TONS of IFO from sitting in the steel covered garage)
-Menzerna PO106 via rotary @ 1200rpm
-Klasse AIO by hand (almost no gains, so I will skip it next time around)
-Trade Secret by hand

-AIO on rims
-BnB on tires

I dedicate all my details this weekend to my grandfather, who passed away suddenly on Thursday...Rest in Peace.

Man, that's a nice collection of cars. I bet the owner was pleased with the results.

I'm also sorry to hear about your grandfather.

Uyy, totally forgot the interior. I was rushing to copy and paste before class. Here it is:

First up - 1998 Volvo V70

I do this car every 4-5 months and it gets BEAT ON. This is Liz's mothers car and her father washes it with a shammy and .25 oz's of Armor All Car Wash Soap. Yes, I've tried a million times to talk sense into him, but it never works. He loves to get the most out of everything while in the end he will get the least out of his paint. Therefore, I know not to spend forever on it. I just try to 'keep up' on the swirling and soiling. The front end needs a repaint bad, but it will probably never get it. Overall, I think it came out nice for what it is.

Interior

-303 Stain Remover/Hot Water + APC on carpets
-APC 10:1 on everything
-4* Leather Conditioner on the leather
-Adam's VRT on dash/doors
-Menzerna IP on wood followed by Zaino Z2
-Sprayaway on Glass

GLT: Glad its working out for ya.

The Woob: I can't comment on the DP Gel yet as I've barely used it. However, the Sprayaway works nice. I use it with a PB Work MF Towel. I spray a small amount on the glass and work in to a streak free shine.

Jay: They sure do. Should be doing the owner's 350Z sometime this summer :cool
