Spring Detail - NBP Acura RSX

JaCkaL829

it was my first time...
I got pretty lucky today since it was my day off, and it was gorgeous (72 degrees).

Ended up giving my RSX a nice little detail. I've washed it a couple times throughout the winter and occassionally put a coat of wax on to protect it from the snow and salt, but nothing to major.

My process today was..

-Wash (Gold Class)

-Clay (Yellow TPS clay)

-Optimum Poli-Seal via PC (LC white polishing pad)

-Trade Secret Carnuaba Wax by hand

-Tires got No Touch tire foam (Costco)

-Exterior trim dressed with Armor All Original.

I must say I really, really liked the Optimum Poli-Seal. Goes on really nice and disappears within a couple passes, really fast working time and easy to use. I did get a little dusting but that might have been caused by my pad which was brand new but a couple years old. This was also the first time I used Trade Secret, so far I really don't see any major differences between it and P21s, it dried up pretty quickly actually, but the overall application was easy. I'm curious to see how this combo holds up before I pop my Zaino cherry this Spring/Summer.

Only a couple pics as I'm too tired to get all my stuff out and didn't feel like finding a nice location. Sorry about them all being on one side, but the passenger side was covered in shadows and I didn't feel like moving the car around. I really tip my hat to all the detailing photographers. I consider myself a pretty 'good' photographer, but I always struggle trying to show off my details.

Oh well good thing I don't detail that often

Looks nice, Johnny! The red calipers are a nice touch.

Mike ya I get compliments on them all the time. Unfortunately this winter while washing my car in the sub zero temps I had really hot water in my soap bucket and that removed a bit of paint from them. I'm most likely going to touch them up when I do a brake job which should be sometime soon.

:wow: Excellent depth and wetness!

Thanks Scott, it was your feedback and some of your shots on black with Optimum Poli-Seal that made me try it out, I'm glad I did :)
