Spray and Gloss streaking?

I am having some problems with S&G streaking on my black car. I am using a 70/30 blend microfiber that absorbs excellent. Anyone know what could be going ( besides me having a black car ) on.

Also can you spray this on everything like windows, etc.

I've sprayed S&G on just about everything external, just to check it out. I use it on the paint pretty much exclusively....I use S&W on paint and trim, window cleaner on windows etc....I have done quick spray of the wheels with S&G and it was fine. If there is streaking with the product, there are several things I thought of off the top of my head. The surface is too hot, is there any fabric softner on your MF, using too much product or not doing an initial wipe with one side of the MF and then flip over for a buff. It evaporates very quickly, so keep your area small, one panel of half a hood, etc... Truthfully, I've never had a streaking issue with my S&G.

I haven't had a problem either and I have used it on my car after it was baking in the sun for 8 hrs, I agree that it does seem to evaporate rather quickly but I only do 1 panel or 1/2 hood or roof at a time, so that does not pose a problem.

Are you using more than one MF towel during the wipe down? If so, the one could be getting "clogged" with S&G and dust. If that's the case, you may want to try using two or more to do the car with. I have used S&G on glass, but I always get a new MF for that and have experienced no streaking.

I've gotten streaking due to heat, or using too much but that's about it. To take care of the heat problem, after I use S&W I spray my hood with cold water from a spray bottle to cool the hood down, then I dry it. I repeat this a couple times or until the hood feels cooler. Lately I also chill my Spray and Gloss in the fridge before I use it. Seems to help, but sometimes I still get a bit of streaking on a hood, but I can usually buff it out.

When I get streaking from S+G it's usually due to the paint being fairly warm, so the S+G tends to dry too quickly. If you have a *slightly* moistened MF you can just wipe over the smears and that should take care of them. If your MF is too dry, spray a light mist on the MF and continue to wipe.

(I also mix my S+G with S+W to get more cleaning/insurance against marring.)

use less and very soft and absorbant microfiber :detective
Thats what I've found to work. Does anyone else seem to notice that dust, spots and such seems to stick more to the S&G than using Like Meg's quick detailer?
