Spotting on glass with CR Spotless

Has anyone had any issues with the CR Spotless still spotting on glass? I just washed my car for the first time this year and noticed when it was drying there was still spots on the glass. I had to dry them off with a towel.

Do you think I'm waiting too long to rinse my car with the CR after washing? That could be the only thing possibly as my TDS meter still reads 0 and I've only used my CR probably under 10 times.

You might be getting spots from waiting to long to use your CRSpotless, but it could also be that you're not using your CRSpotless enough... Remember that you are diluting the hard water on your car with de-ionized water from the CRSpotless. You gotta use enough DI water to dilute the hard water below the point at which it leaves visible spots.

I agree with SuperBee, if your TDS meter is truly still at 0, then you're either not using it soon enough or long enough. I've never had water spots on any vehicle when using it. That being said, I err on the side of being a rinse-a-holic since our water in Dallas is pretty hard.

If the recommendations for longer rinsing don't show any improvements,

You could possibly have a faulty TDS meter and your DI resin is in fact already exhausted due to severe water hardness.

Are you using a flow restrictor to insure the proper contact time with the resin?

Do you know the approximate hardness of your incoming water?

I think this might be a case of waiting too long between washing and rinsing. Obviously as I make my way around the car I try to keep it wet at all times but I think today I took a little too long.

Case in point, the side of my car that was not in the sun has no spots, side that was in the sun is spotting.

I don't think my TDS meter is faulty, and like I said I've only used it about 10 times - I don't think our water is very hard here near Lake Ontario.

Not using a flow restrictor either - I'm using the manual one of only opening the tap enough to keep the flow low. Trust me it's not coming out of the CR as nice as I'd like it to but it's just a rinse and I'm not blasting water.

Currently I hook mine to a Karcher electric pressure washer that puts out either 1.7 or 1.8 GPM. I prefer the nozzeless rinse to get rid of more water but I'm waiting on a restrictor from CR. IIRC, Chuck told me that the newer models have the restrictor built into the lines. I wasn't sure about mine so he said he'll send me one.

I'm not technically certain how the TDS meter works, but is it possible to have too low a water flow rate for the meter to read it incorrectly? I bought a Karcher from Costco to use in conjunction with my DIC-20, and assuming it actually does do the rated 1.5 GPM (and the DIC-20 is supposedly fine with up to 4.0 GPM) I should be fine, right?

I used my CR about 14 times to do a final rinse. It did not leave a spot free finish everytime but even after 14uses my TDS meter still read 0, then one day it jumped to like 15 or something outta the blue. Someone car to elaborate what happened or what I am doing wrong?
