Spot correction with m105

I've seen them for just about everything cleaning and treating of glass, plastic/vinyl, leather, paint, tires. I picked up some of the Armour All leather wipes :up and some of their cleaning wipes :down. The leather wipes do a nice job and are a quick and easy way of cleaning and treating the leather in one step in between my more thorough Lexol cleanings. The cleaning wipes, however, left so much lint on eveything they touched that I had more to clean AFTER using them.



There doesn't seem to be a whole lot available locally, but I know Mothers makes some QD type wipes, and I'm sure there are others to be found. Any comments/opinions on other wipes?
 
A while back, I purchased some Armor All wipes (I think they were Armor All?) because the workers at Target didn't know the price on the 3-pack, so they gave them to me for $4.99. They were a big mess. :mad: The glass wipes didn't do much, the paint wipes smeared and were plain crap, and the vinyl wipes were too wet and were generally a big mess. I keep bottle of QD in my trunk for quickies and spots, and I also have little packets of 303 in my trunk as well. As for quick wipes, I would say stay the hec away from them :down :down :down
 
I would stay away from Armor All wipes. First off, its not a very good product in my opinion. Secondly, the concept of wipes for a dressing is quite amusing. When it comes to wipes, the idea of a window cleaner in a wipe for quick usage is a novel idea though. Safety should always come first. Laters
 
I tried those Armor All quick wipes also. I hated them! I ended up giving them away.



The glass wipes are really wet when you first take them out, but dry out very quickly which results to streaking.



The protectant was OK, Made my hand really slippery and greasy.
 
Hey guys, getting ready to detail my Mini Cooper S (dark gray w/ white top) and have a noob question about spot correction.
The paint is generally in really good shape with a few light swirls and holograms from the last dealer detail. I thought that a good claying and m205 polish would take care of it but upon a close look found about three spots on a door and front fender (light scuffs and scratches) that look like they need a heavier correction.
So I've searched and really didn't find anything specific enough...

Since most of the paint is in great shape, what's the best process to get these isolated defects out? If I remove them with m105 via DA do I have to use M105 on the entire panel or even car, or can I just correct the spot with the M105 and then follow up the entire panel with m205?

If you have a 4" orange pad setup, it will spot correct very fast.

So spot correct and then do a final panel polish with M205?
4" pads are not in the arsenal yet. I've got 5.5 LC yellow/orange though...should work?
