Spilt beer on interior carpet

I don`t know exactly how or why it happened but I had a gentleman call me and scheduling an appointment to detail his interior of his f350 carpet where he spilt his beer. Has anybody had to clean up some of this and what did you use and how well did it work.

Yes I do have a mytee heated extractor as well as a steamer, but is there some kind of chemical that you would recommend.

Sounds to me like you are an ideal candidate to "test" Poorboy`s World new Enzyme odor-eliminator and Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. Maybe Dwaine can send you some to try out.

I would think that what you normally use to clean carpet interiors with in your extractor would work. It may take multiple applications, though. Still not sure? Some carpet stores in your locale may also sell carpet and fabric cleaning chemicals. You may want to consult with them to see what they recommend and sell for an enzyme-based odor eliminator cleaner.

Anyway, I would suggest to you to tell your customer to do this as-soon-as-possible. If that customer ever gets pulled over in that vehicle by any Wisconsin police department for any reason, you can be sure that the driver, even if sober, will be doing a field sobriety test. It`s not a laughing matter and very embarrassing to the driver, not to mention a waste of valuable patrol time for the officer and associated cost to the taxpayers.

Regardless, keep us Autopians informed what you do and how it turns out. This spilled beer within vehicle interiors probably happens a lot more than we think when cans/bottles are accidentally punctured/broken during transport, and hopefully not from drinking and driving.
