Hello all, How do you all keep spiders from making a mess in your garages ? I have two windows in my garage and I have not found a way to keep the spiders and their mess from returning and their mess is not easy to clean up. I vacuum them up every once in a while only for them to return . Thank you for any tips/suggestions/help.

Professional level insecticides applied regularly.

Talstar, P Demand CS, Permethrin, Bifen

you can buy over the counter stuff a the local Lowe’s, Home Depot just review the application times.

There is also a new Bayer product that is very safe, no PPE required, that kills spiders...if only I could remember the name...hold on, let me look it up....Barricor. Temprid is another safe one that kills spiders. Probably more expensive than the ones that TroyScherer recommended.

Most pesticides aren`t very effective on spiders in my experience. The pesticides do usually work on whatever the spiders are eating though. Another thing to look at is moisture. Spiders love moist areas. If you setup a dehumidifier and have low humidity your spider problem will get a lot better.

Temprid is very effective on spiders, at least spraying on them directly. I usually keep a sprayer with Temprid for ants, and I had one of those giant spiders that spins a 2` web, the ones that always spin it somewhere inconvenient. It knocked it down instantly. I don`t know what to tell you about spraying as a preventative, I`ve never tried it, but I may with Barricor at some point.

Wow thank you all for the great information. After looking around Im going to give this a try. I am hoping "kills for up to 16 weeks", includes the spiders, I would be happy to get a 4 week period of time. Appreciate everyones help, thank you.

Perhaps you need to find out where the pests are coming into your garage???? Open window/s, doors, etc.., and close those up??

Another good place to look for products for insects is --- Do My Own - Do It Yourself Pest Control, Lawn Care, Gardening, Equipment & Animal Care Products & Supplies

I have been using a product they sell -- Suspend SC for years, and have really cut down on all the ants, cockroaches, etc., that seem to live out here in the country.. I mix 1 gallon of it, spray it to leave a wet film everywhere I don`t want the pests to come in, let it dry, and when they cross over the film, they get it on their feet, tail, etc., and I later find them upside down, dead or dying... The ants are a little smarter, and they will just not use that pathway anymore because they know what happens...Since using just this one product, in front of the outside doors, entrances, garage door, etc., I have absolutely no insects period, inside my house, or my garage... I had to go look at all around those entrances and find little cracks, etc., that are so small but are still big enough to let it bugs, and if I could not close them up, just spray directly into those places, and it dries and if the bugs crawl through, they get it on them and I find them upside down, dying, or dead..
