SpeedFreak Detailed: 178,000 mi 1995 Audi S6 Revival

Hey guys, had the pleasure of working on a pretty rare and unique vehicle this past week. The owner of this 1995 Audi S6 approached me about breathing some life back into the paint. After covering 178,000+ miles, the exterior was understandably tired. Surprisingly, the interior, specifically the leather seats showed very little wear.

The owner had originally decided on my hybrid correction, but we ended up doing a multi stage due to the rock hard paint.

Thanks for looking!

speedfreak81- Nice job! Bet working around the deck spoiler was a bit of a chore.

Thanks for sharing that one, it takes me back to when my wife and I both drove those :D

At ~178K it's getting nicely broken-in.

IIRC, that color is called "dolphin gray". Looks different depending on the light.

Yes the spoiler was somewhat of a PITA, would liked to have removed it, however the customer was on a budget so I decided my time would be better spent working the areas more visable.

The color is interesting, sometimes it looks grey, and in other lighting it has somewhat of a purple violet sort of hue to it. Either way, I like the color a lot!

That is similar to the tungsten gray of the 2006-2007 Ford Mustang, that too seems to "color shift" dependng on lighting.

Nice job, it looks brand new!
