If you love the Speed Master brushes like me, you know after a while that little rubber / vinyl tip on the end of the wire winding will eventually be toast.
This leaves open metal that can scratch your wheels. I`ve owned multiple SM brushes and this always happens after a year or two of being exposed to wheels cleaning chemicals.
So, I started using these little vinyl tips that are made to cap worn tines on dishwasher racks....
(White - below)
These work pretty well, but they are thin and can pop off after a wash or two. But they are cheap enough.
Recently I bought some sprinklers:
And the pointy tip that gets inserted in the ground was covered with one of these thick black rubber caps:
Immediately I thought how good these would be on the SM brush`s end. They are super thick and the tip is flat.
They are more "rubbery" and thick compared to the tip that comes with the brushes. Also, they fit really tight - they ain`t coming off.
Compared to the original SM end cap:
Anyone know of a source to get these besides buying sprinklers???
