Hello world,

My brother and I recently acquired a Jet Black 2002 m3 and a 2006 Intelagos Blue m5. the interlagos blue m5 was actually the "show" m5 at the Seattle Car Show.

And as you can see by my screen name, I've been on autopia for sometime. I am still, by all means, a complete newbie. So since my brother and I are about to engage on our first truly "large"-ish detailing purchases, I had hoped for your insights. We want to buy everything in one shot (and please forgive our ignorance up front).

We already have:

Klasse Twins

M Intensive Polish

High Tech Yellow Wax

------

We're planning to buy all this from Danase:

PB Super Slick and Suds Wash

PB Clay Bar + quick detailer

CG Extreme Polish

Cyclo Polish/Protective Sealant

[should we buy a different car wax then the High Tech we already have?]

25 Super Plush MFs

PB Spray and Rinse Wheel Cleaner

4 Star Tire Gel

2 Sheep Skin Mitts

------

from Pinnacle:

PC 7424 & Pad Kit

------

Not trying to sound abrasive, but price is really not an issue -- if you think we need something else, pleast just name it! We just want to have the very best stuff, for the deepest, wettest (and longest lasting -- we're from seattle!) shine possible.

Thank you so much!

Daniel

Hi, I'm new to this forum but not new to detailing. I would suggest proper prep using Menzerna FP2 or PO106FF or Zaino Z-PC. Top with 3 x Zaino Z5 w/zfx and then 3 x Zaino Z2Pro w/zfx and final layer of Zaino Z8.

IMO this provides the best look with the best durability.

If that seems a bit much, I've also had stellar results after proper prep with 2 x Poorboys EX-P(latest version) and topping with Spray and Gloss after every wash. This combo looks alot like the final layer klasse SG but alot easier to apply. My testing of this combo lasted more than 4 months on an outdoor 24/7 vehicle.

I am in total accord with fmodena....word for word!! Could not have stated my results any better than that.

get the PC locally.. and go for the EDGE 2000 pads.. they ROCK... also I second the menzerna..stuff.. and as far as wax goes that is up to you...

I'd get some Poorboy's Natty's Blue, and I'd skip the Poorboy's wheel cleaner unless you need something really strong. If you feel you really need to use a wheel cleaner, I'd recommend P21S Gel.

Plush MF's are nice for QD duty, but not always the best for removal of wax or polish. I'd look into getting something along the lines of PakShak Ultra Fines, or my personal favorite, the Autopia Concours Buffing Towel.
