Souveran Wetness on Black

It was time for my complete exterior detail on my jet black 740iL. Here is what I did:

1. Wash with QEW and dry.

2. Polish with a PC using DACP and a yellow cutting pad.

3. Polish with a PC using Meguiars Hand Polish and a white polishing pad.

4. Apply two coats of Poorboys EX by hand 24 hours apart.

5. Apply one coat of Souveran.

This was the first time using Meg's Hand Polish. Using a PC to apply, it was really easy to use and left the paint very wet looking.

So far on jet black paint, this is still my favorite combo.

Here are a couple of pics.

Thanks guys!

I really like this car! It is my favorite of all the cars that I have owned. Again, this detailing combo looks sooo deep, wet & reflective on black. You have to try it! :D

The car looks great. I use a similar combo on my Firehawk, only using Menzerna IP and FP for the polishing. I used to use zaino or blackfire before the Souveran, but lately I've been happier applying the souveran directly after polishing.

Man that car looks fantastic though - I really like the look all clean with those m-parallels. My only caveat with the e38 cars is that the exhaust is hidden. I think they would look so much better with some stainless tips poking out on one side of the bumper.

looks nice

how do you like your 7 what type of problems have you had with it. i like that style you have compared to the 745 its sleeker looking

SuperBuick,

You should try the EX before the Souveran. :xyxthumbs The EX adds some of that inbetween wetness that Souveran does not have. Regarding the hidden exhaust, I too think it would look cool! At the same time it is nice to look stealth with the hidden exhaust.

Frankie,

I have not had any major problems with my 7 as of yet. I have owned the car for about 2 1/2 years I still love it! I agree with you about the new 7 series. The E38, (1995 through 2001 7 Series), is one of the best looking cars on the road today!
