Souveran on the 'pala...56k friendly (I think)

Way2SSlow

~werd to yo mutha~
I'm not the greatest at taking pics, but I thought I would give it a try. I was really trying to capture the "glow" of souveran more than the reflections. The car is VERY reflective enen though these pics really dont show it. I washed the car up Thursday night and hit it with a coat of Souveran, and today I vac'ed and VRT'd the interior. Today it got S&W'ed and another coat of Souveran, and Pro Polish on the exhaust tips. Currently on the car: 1 coat of EX, and 2 coats of Souveran. Enough talk......

This is my cheater reflection shot...in the garage:

Here's the one that I think best captures the "glow"

Last but not least.....my reflection giving my opinion of the new Autopia format!!!

Thanks for looking.

Nice car, I guess.

j/k Bad *** 94! Any mods? I'm gonna have to order some Soveran now. Cant wait till my car is painted.

Intercooled,

She's down about 2 inches on Vogtland springs. I've also got 275/40/17's on it instead of the stock size 255/50/17 It's got Koni shocks all the way around, and the front has been rebuilt with PST polygraphite everything. It's got BMR lower control arms and ZQ8 bumpstops.. The rest of the suspension is stock for now. Handles well for a car of it's size.

BlackBB,

Other than what is mentioned above, it's got SLP headers, 1.6 roller rockrs and new valvesprings, Meziere HD water pump, MSD wires, Bryan Herter tune, an Edge 2800 stall converter and a SERIOUS 4l60e build behind it. Got an Inland Empire driveshaft with a silver Clear Image Loop :D , Eaton Posi with 3.73's. I think that's it right now, other than Scott Williams trunk kit and some stereo gear.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Best quarter she has run was a 14.6@93, but she was hot and I was hot lapping. Cars with similar mods and good traction have run high 13's in good conditions.

I wish my paint was in a little better shape to be honest. The hood is crow's footed pretty bad, and it's got some other problems that dont show in these pics. That is the original paint job from 94, so the condition is to be expected.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I really love the car. I've had it since I was 17 years old, and I'm 24 now. It was my first car...Dad bought it new, and it got handed down to me when he upgraded. I'd say it looks pretty good if you're not close up to the hood. The doors, fenders, and quarters are in pretty good shape, so it does photograph pretty well. She'll probably be bathed in a fresh coat of black before 05 comes to an end.

Thanks again guys.

Looks AWESOME Wade!! I think I've seen your car on Route 9 before!!! :xyxthumbs

:D I bet you have. I work right near Mansell/hwy 9 intersection, and I am on that road enough.

Beautiful car! Hard to believe they turned that whale of an car into something as good looking as the Impala SS.

Great job in capturing the Souveran look, I bet it looks even better in person.

So true. I love those cars too, and wouldn't mind having one. Looks nice, and sounds like you got some nice mods too.

Thanks a ton guys. I cant wait until I get it painted. I'm thinking probably this winter (fingers crossed). I will hopefully be in my own house by then..again fingers are crossed. I have to secure another mode of transportation...3.73's and the 2800 stall dont yield the best mileage around town. Thanks again for the compliments.

Scott,

you are the picture man. Any compliment you give me on my picture taking means a ton. I'm still trying to get my detailing near your level, my photography skills will come later...I hope. :D

Nice car, when I worked at a detailing shop my boss had bought one just like it. Only he redid the interior and added 2 base coats of black and 4 clears with wetsanding every few layers. Man it looked like it was bottomlesss. One thing that I thought set it off was that he got stock chrome wheels. Realy set it apart and Im not even a bling bling kind of guy.

Heh heh, easy on that "whale of a car" business pal ;) my Caprice is the whale they turned into the Impala :)

Heh heh, some of us actually *prefer* the 9C1 (cop car) over the WX3 (Impala SS) and if *I* don't stick up for the "ugly" ones, well, who will?

Way2SSlow- I don't participate on the ISS forum, but I've lurked there since, gee, way back when Autocrosser first got Konis. But IIRC I did register as "Accumulator" there too. Is Way2SSlow your name there too? I seem to recall seeing it there (haven't been visiting there much recently).

Consider the differences in, uhm, personalities between that forum and Autopia, and anyhow, I seldom participate in *any* online forums other than this one. I spend too much time here as it is!

Also, I don't really have much to contribute Re the b-bodies. There are *so* many guys there who know *so* much about them than I do that I'm sure nobody's missing anything from me.

Nah, won't be at the shootout, either- I just can't go spend a day or more on "car stuff" (I'm not even showing the JXS with my Jag club, which drives them nuts) and I get less interested in doing it as I get older anyhow. Yeah, I know, I know... :o :nixweiss

But I have met some great guys through the ISS forum, esp. Bill Harper, who not only did my front C/As but also connected me to people like Tom Lee. And I might not've stumbled across Sam at CM if not for the forum (my 9C1 is there now). One of these days I'll at least be posting in the "parts for sale" section, as I have a mountain of b-body stuff left over from my numerous projects (including a whole car that's really too nice to part out).
