Souveran/M16 over Collinite 845?

Hi,

I'm looking for the easiest, best looking and decently durable combination on dark colors. Would 845 + Souveran paste be a good combination? Would applying the Souveran take some 845 off?

What about light colors? Would Collinite 845 + M16 be a good choice?

Thanks.

The replies to your question will likely be quite variable. However, limiting a response to the products you mentioned, 845+souveran will work very well on dark paints. If you give the collinite ample time between applications (say, till after the next wash) of you topper of choice you shouldn't see an appreciable reduction in durability of 845.

For light colors, you might be better of layering each product on top of itself. Both will look great but they do both contain good amounts of solvents which could alter something beneath it. Particularly if applied aggressively. I guess that brings about the old question of layerability of said products now doesn't it.

I've never tried Souveran over 845, only over 476S (used a spit-shine technique). IMO the slight, temporary, boost in looks probably won't be worth doing, but that's just my take on it. I'd rather just do dark colors with a Collinite paste.

Never tried #16 over any Collinite; if I want #16 on something I use it by itself. The looks of 845 and #16 are mighty similar anyhow IMO, and I was comparing them on adjacent panels (Audi silver).

Eh, guess I'm not help, I just don't layer different LSPs much any more.

I would think simply saying that it isn't worth layering different LSP's would be helpful! ;)
