Sorry Atlanta fans

I was bitter after the Packers got pounded by the Falcons. I was hoping the Patriots would win, but I do feel for Falcons fans. That felt like a blowout for 3 1/2 quarters. I would have started burning all the Pat`s SB memorabilia and started handing out the Falcons tshirts.

I would have never guessed that outcome in a million years.

Falcons coaching lost the game. Ryan could have fallen three times and then kicked a field goal to put the game out of reach. I`m happy the offensive coach is going to San Francisco. Really bitter right now. I don`t mind losing to a better team, I really hate stupidity. How can you blow a 25 point lead? Prevent defenses never prevent anything. In the end they were not playing to win, they were trying not to lose. Bad coaching.

Reminded me, as a Packers fan, of the 2014 NFC championship game in certain respects. Tough way to lose, and I feel for the Falcons fans because I`ve been there. Hope you enjoyed the ride, anyway.

Good point on the field goal. But even a 35-40 yd FG is no gimmie.

I think the "prevent" defense is a unwritten rule in the NFL to keep games close. It is a big business after all.

I agree that this was a factor. But, I think that undermines the players` role in things. Holding for what - 3 consecutive plays? Patriots` drive looked like organized game when the players know they have only one direction: up.

Been there, felt that pain (being from Green Bay).
Have to give credit to Tom Brady and the Patriots, though. This is why EVERY play is important in professional football and why a team needs to play for the entire 60 minutes. (Queue the 1992 Wildcard Playoff game between Buffalo and Houston at Buffalo second half as a reference. One of those, "you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it"!) Same will be said (and replayed) for football posterity for Super Bowl 51 (LI).
Biggest play was the unbelievable (literally) Edleman`s catch of the multi-deflected pass in the fourth quarter (confirmed by review) AND the win of the overtime coin toss by the Patriots.

I HATE this offensive pass-oriented game and the "enforced" defensive pass-interference and pass-holding rules currently in the NFL. Being a defensive cornerback or safety or linebacker-in-coverage in today`s NFL game is near-impossible to do so without incurring some type of impactful pass penalty that affects the outcome of the game. Let the defender have their bump-and-run. I think the Patriots in the first half were the beneficiary of these calls on three separate 3rd-down plays in one drive!

Also, anyone think that the sports-turf at Houston was "slippery"?? Saw a lot of slippin`-n-slidin` footing by both teams.

Incredible game and almost gave up watching at half-time ...

We are now seeing history !!

My father watched Unitas & Starr and now I have been able to see Montana and Brady ... an argument for the ages !!!
