sonus vs. LC pads

Anyone have a preference for the Sonus 6" SFX pads over the LC CCS pads for the PC (or vice versa)?

Personally, for the PC, I use the smallest possible pads for the application. If your looking to do serious or moderate correction you may want the smaller 5" CCS pads or even the low profile 5.5" LC's. I find 6" to be a bit too large, but I do use them occasionally for AIO's.

The Sonus pads are good, as are the LC, LC have a ton of different ones though, get 1-2 of each and decide.

I dont machine apply ANY LSP's so I cant provide any input on that.

The sonus look thciker and are a half inch smaller than the LC I'm looking at. The LC pads have those dimples, however, and I'm curious what they're supposed to do and if they really do make things easier.

Check the 5" LC CCS pads from Danase, you can read about the CCS tech on any site that sells them but they essentially are designed to slow or reduce product absorbtion.

You don't use the PC for FK products either? I'm told that these products need to go on very even and thin. A PC does that way better than by hand no?

No, I guess the only FK product that I *would* use a PC is the sealant, however, I dont use it. I find that I can apply a thinner coat of LSP (FK1 PW/1000P, Zaino, Nuba's, Collinite) by hand, using less product, and precision (away from molding, crevices, etc.).

Its personal preference though, alot of people use the PC for LSP's. If possible I stay away from putting a machine to the paint when my hand will do. I actually enjoy it, oddly enough.
