Sonus Ultimate Drying Towel

I ordered some today, too. Even if they're not the very best around, they'll do fine as backups. I have some Sonus Ultimate Detailing Towels, essentially the same thing in a smaller size, and they perform relatively well compared to my favorite Perfect Shine Drying Towels - not as good, but not bad by any means.

At the sale price, I think it's a pretty good deal. IMO, it's main pro is also the reason for its main con. It's a very soft waffle weave, but because of this the towel is very prone to snagging. On it's first use, one of the Sonus Ultimate Drying towel I purchased got snagged slightly. Normally that's no big deal since other towels I have snag or get caught also.

But after I had washed it, it appeared that somehow the hot water during the wash caused that snag to singe (think of taking a flame to a thin piece of plastic, but in this case it was a piece of fiber/thread). It left about a 1 1/2" line that unfortunately was hard enough to mar paint.

The good thing though was that Autopia's customer service was excellent and Lynn shipped one out promptly, even though it had been a couple of months since I ordered the item.

The other towels I've used since then (same kind) has never had the same thing occur (they have some little snags here and there too), so maybe it was just a bad towel. If I had to pick one for durability, I would say that the Der Wunder drying towel will last longer, but at the same time it's not as soft. I really can't say that one towel is better than another. Ultimately, it would come down to price.

nice nice.......i bought it because i got my birthday coupon lol

I have been using microfiber to do my drying...and i just got tired of it and saw the coupon then bought it...:D

i wonder why there are so many bad reviews for this product.

I have two of them and they work great for me, but you should wash them after every use. I tried using one that i used the previous day (without washing it) and it did not absorb anything.
