Sonus "SFX" polish line

Hi folks, I'm thinking of ordering some of the Sonus polishes to try. Could anyone please give their opinions about the performance of the SFX-1, 2 & 3, and how they compare to similar types of products?

Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone know where Sonus products are made? I had thought they were German, but the only ones that stated their place of origin were actually "Made in the U.S.A". Maybe Mr. B would be kind enough to chime in on that point?

Thanks for any input.

I would wait for the new "swirlbuster" pad/polish combo to come out if I were you. If you need something right away, I'm sure they will work fine for you. I haven't used them personally but if they meet David's standards, I'm sure they meet mine.

I will say that I have liked everything else I have tried under the Sonus label.

All three polishes work prety well with either PC or rotary. SFX-1 works very well in getting rid of moderate oxidation and swirling.

BTW, I can't wait to try the new pads on my CE rotary.

Thanks for the input. Any comparisons to other products regarding ease of use (dusting, ease of removal after drying, staining of trim, etc.)? I apply compounds and polishes by Cyclo these days.

I have SFX-3 and it behaves similarly to DP's finjishing polish. I assume the other polishes are built the same way, low dust, long work time, great breakdown.

I like SFX-2. It did a decent job at remove swirls with the SFX-2 pad, but I worked better with the SFX-1 pad.

Very high marks for the SFX system. SFX 2 and 3 should be very versatile for many unless there are glaring swirling and prolonged abuse issues.

Can't wait to start the wax season soon!

I've only used SFX2 but I'd probably buy more if it were available in a gallon. The abrasives used in the polish are very DA friendly so they will suit your purposes well. Very easy to use polish all the way around. The SFX 2 can be used as the final polishing step - easily. Your mind is playing tricks on you if you think SFX 3 produces higher gloss, as SFX 2 finishes down perfectly and really isn't that aggressive in the first place.

Rate them second only to menzerna

The old version 1 would dry up real quick and be a PITA to remove

Best for use on plastics

Version 2 is brilliant. Used sfx 3 last night

brillian products

Probably the absolute best thing about this excellent product is the set of foolproof instructions on the bottle. Too many otherwise great products give "apply polish and remove with towel" type instructions.

Proper use is ALWAYS the key to proper results.
