Sonus Professional Bucket

I have the bucket and its awesome. The construction is fantastic plus it comes with a Grit Guard (which is a huge plus).

The only thing you might want to do is use some heavy duty velcro on the seat pad to hold it down onto the bucket top. Its not secured in anyway.

Great deal for the price.

It's great for regular maintence car washes to you car, but it's not necessary when your doing a complete detail. You'd be surprised by all the crap that falls to the bottom of the bucket.

if you're doing the 2 bucket method of carwashing, then how does the grit guard help?

You get the clean sheepskin mit wet with suds from bucket 1, then wash the car, then rinse it completely in bucket 2, and then pick up more suds in bucket 1.

am I missing something here?

Is the $70 price tag worth it?

If it came loaded with products I'd consider it :chuckle:

You couldn't get me to pay that much money for a paint bucket and dollie! That's a Griot's item with that price tag!

I employ the two bucket method. I use two 5 gallon heavy duty buckets HERE and two (200lb capacity) heavy duty dollies HERE.

So for more than HALF the price, I have the same thing times two!

You can buy that grit guard thing for $7 HERE.

I prefer two buckets so I can completely slosh and rinse the dirty mitt in a separate bucket.

If I need to sit, I have all sorts of little stools and a creeper seat instead of that cushion seat which makes it useless to wash with when you're arse is parked on it.

I wouldn't pay $70 for it. I actually made my own. I took a measurement of the top of the bucket and cut out a circle of wood of that size. I then cut out another circle of wood 1" larger in diameter than the first and glued the two of them together. I then put some foam on the top and stapled some vinyl over top of it. This was the seat top. For the roller part I went and bought 4 wheels from walmart. I then cut out a circle of wood the size of the bottom of the bucket. Then I cut out another circle an inch larger than the bottom of the bucket and glued the two circles together. I then attached the wheels to this. To hold the wheels to the bucket, I used a bunch of velcro so that the wheels can be taken on and off. Total cost? about $10.

That's the best bucket I've ever seen, but the price is outrageous.

For pros who are on the job for hours on end I can see this being very useful but otherwise ...
