Hi i just got the Sonus pad kit, does anyone else that has these pads knotice that the backing plate doesnt seat right in the counter sunk circle of the pads? My backing plate seems like its about 1/4 inch wider on each side.

Haven't had a problem with mine. I ordered the Sonus kit from Autopia (5" backing plate) and it fits snugly in the recessed circle of the pads.

Center the pad and push it on... it will get a grip.

I cannot find the link to the Autopia store but they're the pads from the Sonus kit they sell. Purchased the pads just a couple of weeks ago.

do you have to keep putting the pad on an off to get it straight? I have to keep putting it back on to get it straight or it will be off center mine dosnt fit into the sunken circle, wonder why?

Nope, I just carefully center the pad and apply pressure so the velcro sticks. The backing plate is a very tight fit in the recessed circle.

I have the kit and a couple of my pad's velcro backing isn't quite centered so I have to stick them on a little lop sided, but they stick just fine. As long as the pad is somewhat centered, you'll do great.

JDookie, because of that does your pads vibrate up andown alittle on the car? I can spin the pad on the wheel and see that its not level so when im polishing it makes a thumping noise because its not seated in the reccesed circle. Can you hear you pad thumping the surface of the car ?
